The Quad City Mallards have signed goaltender Justin Grant, the Mallards announced today.
Grant, 30, joins the Mallards for the third time this season and the second time this month. The 6’ 0”, 185-pound Burlington, Iowa, native has played briefly in four games for the Mallards this year. Grant also served as the Missouri Mavericks’ back-up in the Mavericks’ November 26 game against the Mallards. Last season also saw Grant join the Mallards for three separate stints.
Grant arrives after netminder David Brown was recalled from the Mallards by the American Hockey League’s Abbotsford Heat yesterday.
Grant played in the All-American Hockey League with Evansville in 2008-09 and with Madison in 2009-10 after taking to the ice for Division III Northland College from 2003 to 2007.
