The Quad City Mallards have named Tom Carroll the team’s new equipment manager, the Mallards announced today.
Carroll has been a fixture in the Mallards organization for most of the last two decades, having first joined the team in 1997 as a stick boy. Carroll has spent the last five years as the Mallards’ assistant equipment manager.
Carroll also enjoyed a two-year stint in the American Hockey League as the Quad City Flames’ visiting locker room attendant from 2007 to 2009.
Carroll, who earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Ambrose University, is a native of East Moline.
The Mallards will open their twenty-first season- and their fourth in the ECHL- on Friday, October 13 against the Toledo Walleye at the iWireless Center.
